Ratanui Medical has been a group practice in Henderson for over 60 years with a long history of commitment to provide medical care to the community. The practice moved from Ratanui Street to Lincoln Road in 1989 to be in a purpose built building. The two principal doctors are Dr Chris Wong and Dr Joanna Lang working with assistant GPs, a GP Registrar and a team of nurses and administration staff.

Dr Chris Wong
Chris is the senior member of the team having been at the practice for over 30 years. He is an Honorary clinical teacher with the University of Auckland and teaches medical students and GP Registrars.  He has an interest in chronic disease management, minor surgery and performs vasectomies.  Chris loves the outdoors, is a keen tennis player and a DIY handyman.

Dr Joanna Lang
Joanna is originally trained in Poland and has an interest in women’s and child health. She takes pride in being able to help her patients when they are in need. She speaks Polish and English and enjoys the performance arts when she is not busy in the garden or with her 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Dr Abigail Smith (Abby)
Abby is from Northland and trained at Auckland Medical School. She works part-time as she has three young children. She has a particular interest in Women's Health and Paediatrics.  Abby currently works Thursdays and Fridays and will have an extra clinic from 10am-2pm on Tuesdays.

Dr Michael Wang
Michael is originally from Shanghai, China. He trained at Otago Medical School (NZ) and has recently started a career in General Practice. He is able to speak Mandarin Chinese. Michael is interested in snow skiing and motorcycles.

Patients call him “Dr Michael” as his surname is pronounced ‘Wong’, to prevent being him being confused with Dr Chris Wong.

Michael is available for the Mental Health Clinics on Tuesday afternoons, every fortnight.

Dr Gunpreet Sethi

Gunpreet was trained in India and was an Orthopedic Surgeon for 17 year. He is now working with a special interest in bone and joint problems and minor surgery. Gunpreet believes in the holistic approach in client management. He loves to explore and spend time with his family. He is also known to enjoy playing and following cricket.

Dr John Caldwell

It is with regret that Dr John Caldwell has retired from 9 December 2020. We are fortunate that we may call him to work casually from time to time when we are short staffed.

Dr Mish Glauser

Dr Mish Glauser was born and raised in Wellington, and currently lives in the Waitakere ranges. She has ancestral roots in Samoa and Switzerland. She completed her MBCHB in 2014 at the University of Auckland. She has worked across rural Aotearoa and has 4 years of experience in emergency medicine. Her interests include holistic health, mindfulness, womens health, and nutrition. Healing requires relationship building, continuity of care and seeing people as a whole; all of which has drawn her to general practice. Outside of work you will often find her with her hands in clay at the Titirangi Pottery Club.

Dr Willy Wang

Dr Willy Wang is english and chinese mandarin speaking and an Auckland University graduate. He has experience in urgent care and surgical cases. Willy helps with seeing our more urgent cases on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am-6pm. He is interested in medical research and a proud “foodie”.

Dr Antonio Tillman

Antonio is our latest member of the medical team. Graduating from Germany and now residing in Auckland, he speaks both German and Spanish. His experience is in ENT presentations and urgent care but he is quickly adapting to the GP environment. He enjoys driving German made cars and cooking ethnic delicacies.
